MEMO1 Antibody (AT1E9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MEMO1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-MEMO1 antibody (AT1E9) is available as a non-conjugated format. MEMO1 protein, also known as mediator of cell motility 1, C2orf4, or NS5ATP7, consists of 297 amino acids and plays a crucial role in regulating cell migration by modulating extracellular chemotactic signals directed at the microtubule cytoskeleton. This function is particularly important in the context of tumorigenesis, as MEMO1 is implicated in mediating Neu signaling, which is essential for the migration of breast carcinoma cells. The gene encoding MEMO1 is located on human chromosome 2, a region that contains over 1,400 genes and accounts for nearly 8% of the human genome. Notably, chromosome 2 is also associated with various genetic disorders, including harlequin ichthyosis, linked to mutations in the ABCA12 gene, and lipid metabolic disorders such as sitosterolemia, which are caused by defects in the ABCG5 and ABCG8 genes. The ability of MEMO1 to influence cell motility underscores its significance in both normal physiological processes and pathological conditions, making MEMO1 (AT1E9) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying cell migration and cancer biology.
