MDM2 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 100-320 of human MDM2, exhibiting reactivity with mouse, rat, and human samples. MDM2, also called Murine Double Minute 2, is an oncoprotein that serves as a critical negative regulator of the tumor suppressor p53, playing a pivotal role in cell cycle control and apoptosis. Structurally, MDM2 comprises several key domains: an N-terminal p53-binding domain, a central acidic domain, a zinc finger domain, and a C-terminal RING finger domain endowed with E3 ubiquitin ligase activity.
