MAST205 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAST205 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAST205 Antibody (C-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAST205, also known as microtubule-associated serine/threonine-protein kinase 2, is a testis-specific cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in spermatid maturation by functioning within a multi-protein complex. MAST205 links the dystrophin/utrophin network with microtubule filaments through Syntrophin interaction, an adapter protein connecting signaling molecules to the dystrophin-associated protein complex. This complex maintains structural integrity of postsynaptic structures in both neuromuscular junction and central nervous system, influencing muscle function and signaling pathways. MAST205 interacts with TRAF6, regulating lipopolysaccharide-induced interleukin-12 synthesis in macrophages, significant for immune response modulation. MAST205 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, with isoform 1 being full-length and isoform 2 lacking specific residues. N-terminus phosphorylation of MAST205 is required for ubiquitination, leading to proteasome-mediated proteolysis, highlighting the importance of post-translational modifications in regulating function and stability.
