MAST205 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MAST205 of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAST205 Antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAST205, also known as microtubule-associated serine/threonine-protein kinase 2, is a testis-specific cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in spermatid maturation by functioning within a multi-protein complex. MAST205 links the dystrophin/utrophin network with microtubule filaments through Syntrophin interaction, an adapter protein connecting signaling molecules to the dystrophin-associated protein complex. This complex maintains structural integrity of postsynaptic structures in both neuromuscular junction and central nervous system. MAST205 regulates lipopolysaccharide-induced interleukin-12 synthesis in macrophages by forming a complex with TRAF6, subsequently inhibiting TRAF6 NFκB activation. MAST205 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, with isoform 1 representing the full-length protein and isoform 2 lacking specific residues. N-terminus phosphorylation of MAST205 is required for ubiquitination at the same site, leading to proteasome-mediated proteolysis degradation, highlighting post-translational modifications′ importance in regulating function and stability.
