MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAGE-D4 and MAGE-D4B proteins, consisting of 741 amino acids each, are encoded by human genes MAGED4 and MAGED4B, respectively. These proteins belong to the MAGE family, which directs expression of tumor antigens recognized by autologous cytolytic T lymphocytes in human melanomas. MAGE-D4 and MAGE-D4B are specifically expressed in glioma cells among cancer types, making these proteins glioma-specific members of the MAGE family. Expression is limited to brain and ovary in normal tissues, highlighting a potential role in tumor biology. While MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B expression is elevated in malignant tumors compared to normal tissues, expression levels do not have prognostic significance. Understanding MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B expression in gliomas may provide insights into targeted therapies and immunological responses in cancer treatment.
