SEE ALSO...

MAGE-B1 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MAGE-B1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MAGE-B1 antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE) family, to which MAGE-B1 belongs, is crucial for cancer immunotherapy as these antigens are recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes, making them potential targets for therapeutic interventions. MAGE-B1 is primarily expressed in tumor tissues, with expression being virtually exclusive to cancerous cells in adults, except for limited expression in the testis and placenta. This unique expression pattern underscores MAGE-B1′s importance in tumor biology, as MAGE-B1 is involved in the immune response against tumors, potentially aiding in the rejection of malignant cells. Understanding MAGE-B1 interactions with specific proteins, such as those involved in immune signaling pathways, can provide insights into MAGE-B1′s role in tumor immunity and the development of targeted therapies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166954 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
