M-CSF Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects M-CSF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). M-CSF (D-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF), also known as CSF-1, plays a crucial role in the immune system by regulating the proliferation and differentiation of mononuclear phagocytes, such as macrophages and osteoclasts. This glycoprotein is produced by fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and macrophages, and is essential for the formation of macrophage colonies from bone marrow progenitor cells. M-CSF is particularly important in mediating inflammatory responses, as M-CSF can influence the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines from macrophages, thereby impacting immune responses and tissue homeostasis.
