LYSMD1 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects LYSMD1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LYSMD1, also known as SB145, is a 227 amino acid protein characterized by a single LysM repeat and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, which may play distinct roles in cellular processes. LYSMD1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where LYSMD1 is believed to be involved in the recognition and binding of peptidoglycan, a crucial component of bacterial cell walls. LYSMD1′s ability to interact with peptidoglycan suggests a role in the immune response, particularly in the detection and response to bacterial infections. Furthermore, the gene encoding LYSMD1 is situated on human chromosome 1, a region associated with numerous diseases, including various cancers and genetic disorders. LYSMD1′s presence in the cytoplasm underscores LYSMD1′s potential importance in cellular signaling pathways and immune surveillance, making anti-LYSMD1 antibody (F-8) a valuable tool for researchers studying immune responses and related pathologies.
