    SEE ALSO...

LPAAT-θ Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LPAAT-theta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LPAAT-θ (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LPAAT-theta, or lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase theta, plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism by catalyzing the conversion of lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid, a key intermediate in the biosynthesis of various lipids. This enzymatic activity maintains cellular membrane integrity and signaling pathways, as phosphatidic acid participates in numerous cellular processes, including cell growth, survival, and migration. LPAAT-theta is predominantly localized in the endoplasmic reticulum, expressing across various tissues, albeit at lower levels in the brain, kidney, liver, pancreas, placenta, prostate, and thymus. Notably, LPAAT-theta overexpression has been linked to the activation of signaling pathways that promote tumor progression, highlighting a potential role in cancer biology.
