LMP2 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LMP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LMP2 (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LMP2, a crucial component of the proteasome, plays a significant role in the ATP/Ubiquitin-dependent proteolytic pathway, which maintains cellular homeostasis by degrading misfolded or damaged proteins. LMP2 is located within the multicatalytic proteinase complex, predominantly found in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells, where LMP2 contributes to the proteasome′s highly ordered ring-shaped structure composed of at least 15 nonidentical subunits. LMP2 connects the proteasome to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I antigen-processing pathway, facilitating the activation of cytotoxic T cells upon stimulation with interferon-gamma. LMP2 is expressed in two alternatively spliced forms, LMP2.l and LMP2.s, which are generated in lymphoblastoid cell lines and fibroblasts following interferon-gamma stimulation, highlighting LMP2′s dynamic role in immune responses.
