Datasheets
  • LKB1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 6 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-75 mapping at the N-terminus of LKB1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of LKB1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • See LKB1 (Ley 37D/G6): sc-32245 for LKB1 antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for LKB1 Antibody (G-12) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with LKB1 Antibody (G-12) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

LKB1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically designed to detect LKB1, also known as STK11 or serine/threonine kinase 11, in mouse, rat, and human samples using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) techniques. LKB1 monoclonal antibody (G-12) targets an epitope within the first 75 amino acids at the N-terminus of human LKB1, ensuring effective binding across various experimental applications. LKB1 is a 433 amino acid serine/threonine kinase that features a conserved kinase domain essential for its enzymatic activity and several regulatory regions that modulate its function in cellular processes. The structural integrity of LKB1, particularly its kinase domain, is crucial for its role in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis, regulating cell polarity, and acting as a tumor suppressor by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and related kinases. Mutations that disrupt the structure of LKB1, especially within its kinase domain, are associated with Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome (PJS), a hereditary disorder characterized by benign polyps in the gastrointestinal tract, pigmented spots on the lips, and an increased risk of various cancers. Understanding the structural domains of LKB1 is vital for elucidating its interactions and regulatory mechanisms in cell growth and metabolism, making anti-LKB1 antibody (G-12) an indispensable tool for researchers investigating cancer biology, metabolic disorders, and cellular signaling pathways. Anti-LKB1 antibody (G-12) is available in multiple forms, including non-conjugated and various conjugated versions such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs.

I am using LKB1 (G-12): sc-374300 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
