LIME Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Lck-interacting molecule (LIME) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LIME is a 295 amino acid transmembrane adaptor protein predominantly expressed in hematopoietic and lung cells, featuring a short extracellular domain and a cytoplasmic tail rich in five tyrosine-based motifs. Upon cross-linking of the CD4 or CD8 co-receptors, LIME undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation, which is crucial for interaction with Lck, a member of the Src family kinase, and Csk, its negative regulator. This phosphorylation event plays a vital role in the regulation of T cell activation, particularly during the early and late stages of this process. LIME is implicated in the activation of key signaling pathways, such as the ERK and JNK pathways, which are essential for T cell function and response. LIME may also participate in B cell receptor-mediated B cell activation, highlighting its importance in the immune response. LIME (D-6) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell and B cell signaling pathways, providing insights into the mechanisms of immune regulation and potential therapeutic targets.
