LIME Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LIME protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LIME Antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Lck-interacting molecule (LIME) is a 295 amino acid transmembrane adaptor protein predominantly expressed in hematopoietic and lung cells, where LIME plays a crucial role in T cell activation and signaling. LIME features a short extracellular domain and a cytoplasmic tail rich in five tyrosine-based motifs, which are essential for function. Upon cross-linking of the CD4 or CD8 co-receptors, LIME undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation, enabling interaction with Lck, a member of the Src family of kinases, and Csk, its negative regulator. This interaction is vital for the regulation of T cell activation, as LIME is expressed during both early and late stages of this process. LIME is implicated in the activation of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathways, which are integral to T cell signaling. LIME may also play a role in B cell receptor-mediated B cell activation, highlighting importance in the immune response.
