    SEE ALSO...

LAGE-3 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LAGE-3 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LAGE-3 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LAGE-3, also known as L antigen family member 3, DXS9879E, ESO3, or ITBA2, is a 143 amino acid protein that belongs to the cancer/testis antigen (CTAG) family. Notably, LAGE-3 is expressed in a wide range of somatic tissues, unlike other family members that are typically restricted to testicular expression and activated in various human tumors. This ubiquitous expression suggests that LAGE-3 may play a critical role in normal cellular functions, potentially influencing processes such as cell proliferation and differentiation. The gene encoding LAGE-3 is located on mouse chromosome X A7.3, and its high conservation across species indicates its functional importance. Additionally, an intronless pseudogene with significant sequence similarity to LAGE-3 is found on human chromosome 9, highlighting the evolutionary significance of this protein.
