SEE ALSO...

KLC3 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KLC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KLC3 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KLC3, also known as kinesin light chain 3, is a 504 amino acid protein characterized by five tetratricopeptide repeats and is a vital component of the kinesin family of motor proteins. These proteins are essential for intracellular transport, playing a significant role in the distribution of organelles, vesicles, and macromolecular complexes within cells. KLC3 functions as a microtubule-associated protein, generating mechanical force necessary for organelle transport, and is part of a larger oligomeric structure composed of heavy and light chains. KLC3′s importance extends to involvement in various cellular processes, including cell division and membrane trafficking events such as endocytosis and transcytosis. Notably, KLC3 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in multiple isoforms that may have distinct functional roles, further underscoring this protein′s complexity and significance in cellular dynamics.
