Keap1 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Keap1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Keap1 antibody (G-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Keap1, also known as kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1, plays a crucial role as a stress-sensing adaptor in the Cullin3 (Cul3)-dependent E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which is essential for the regulation of Nrf2 (NF-E2-related factor 2). This regulation is vital because Nrf2 is a key transcription factor that mediates the expression of cytoprotective genes in response to oxidative stress and electrophilic insults. Under normal conditions, Keap1 maintains low levels of Nrf2 by promoting ubiquitination and subsequent degradation, thereby preventing excessive activation of protective genes. During oxidative stress, modifications to specific cysteine residues in Keap1, particularly Cys 273 and Cys 288, lead to a conformational change that releases Nrf2, allowing nuclear translocation and target gene activation. This dynamic interplay between Keap1 and Nrf2 is critical for cellular defense mechanisms, making Keap1 an important protein in the study of oxidative stress responses and potential therapeutic targets for diseases related to oxidative damage.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Anfrage. Der Antikörper wird als 200 µg in 1 ml PBS mit 0.1 % Gelatine und <0.1 % Natriumazid geliefert. This antibody is supplied as 200 µg in 1 ml PBS with 0.1 % gelatin and <0.1 % sodium azide.

There are two close bands at the expected MW position. Are they both keap1 with different status or one just non-specific binding?

My membrane has been treated with Keap1 (G-2) HRP antibody, Can I directly use the chemoluminescence kit? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. If you are using an HRP-conjugated primary antibody, no secondary detection antibody is required. You can use conventional HRP-based chemoluminescence to detect the primary antibody on your membrane. Please also refer to D. It can be detected by any of our Anti-Mouse IgG Kappa Binding Protein Secondaries, such as m-IgGκ BP-HRP: sc-516102, m-IgGκ BP-CFL 488: sc-516176, or m-IgGκ BP-CFL 680: sc-516180. What is the best Keap1 antibody for Spargue Dawley Rats in brain and muscle

Can this antibody be used for mouse cells?

Thank you for your question. We have not yet tested this antibody, Keap1 (G-2): sc-365626, for use in mouse cells, so it is not currently recommended for that species. We would recommend an alternative antibody for detection of Keap1 in mouse samples, Keap1 (A-4): sc-515432. Can the (G-2) clone be used for use in immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections?

This antibody, Keap1 (G-2): sc-365626, has not yet been tested for IHC(P). Instead we would strongly recommend an alternate clone, Keap1 (F-10): sc-514914, which has excellent data in FFPE human tissues.
