JRKL Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JRKL protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JRKL (B-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JRKL protein, a member of the tigger transposable element derived (TIGD) protein family, plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression and may be involved in the mechanisms underlying certain neurological disorders. This 442 amino acid protein is predicted to localize in the nucleus, which suggests a potential role in modulating transcriptional activities. JRKL is widely expressed across various tissues, although expression is notably lower in the liver, lung, and peripheral blood leukocytes. With a 35% homology to the mouse JRK protein, which has been linked to epileptic seizures when inactivated, JRKL may have important implications in epilepsy research and understanding the genetic factors contributing to this condition.
