IP3R-I/II/III Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody designed to detect all three subtypes of the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor (IP3R), namely IP3R-I, IP3R-II, and IP3R-III, which are also known as INSP3R1, INSP3R2, and INSP3R3 respectively. Anti-IP3R antibody (B-2) is raised against amino acids 2402-2701 at the C-terminus of the human IP3R-II protein, ensuring precise binding and high specificity. IP3R proteins are located on the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) within the cell, where they function as crucial calcium release channels. This localization is essential for regulating intracellular calcium levels, which in turn control a variety of cellular processes such as exocrine secretion, energy metabolism, and cell growth. By mediating calcium signaling, IP3Rs play a pivotal role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and enabling communication between the ER and other cellular compartments.
