Datasheets

    • Anti-IKKγ Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ IKKγ antibody, cited in 3 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
    • raised against full length IKKΓ of human origin
    • Anti-IKK gamma Antibody (F-10) is recommended for detection of IKKγ of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and IF
    • Anti-IKK gamma Antibody (F-10) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
    • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
    • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
    • Contact our Technical Service Department (or your local Distributor) for more information on how to receive a FREE 10 µg sample of IKKγ (F-10): sc-166398.
    • m-IgGκ BP-HRP (mouse IgGκ binding protein-HRP) is the preferred detection reagent for IKKγ Antibody (F-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with IKKγ Antibody (F-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Can IKKγ (F-10): sc-166398 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, IKKγ (F-10): sc-166398 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from MW band wrong size. I previously used a Santa Cruz anti-IKKg antibody and liked it very much. As it was discontinued, I tried this one instead. There is a faint band that is almost the right size (a bit low), and several strong bands of completely the wrong size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly potent and very specific antibody This monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of the ~48 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested.
