IKK-ε Antibody (6B4B5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IKK-ε in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IKK-ε antibody (6B4B5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IKK-ε, also known as IKK-i or IKBKE, is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in the immune response by regulating the activation of the transcription factor NFκB. IKK-ε is primarily expressed in immune cells and is significantly induced by lipopolysaccharide and proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-1, and interleukin-6. IKK-ε phosphorylates IκBα at specific serine residues, leading to IκB degradation and subsequent release and activation of NFκB, which is essential for the transcription of genes involved in inflammation and immune responses. The functional IKK complex, which includes IKKα, IKKβ, and IKKγ (NEMO), relies on IKK-ε to modulate these critical signaling pathways, making IKK-ε a vital target for research in immunology and inflammation.
