IFN-α/βRα Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the IFN-α/βRα protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). IFN-α/βRα monoclonal antibody (H-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The type I interferon receptor, which includes IFN-α/βRα, plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the effects of type I interferons, which are vital for establishing an antiviral state in cells. IFN-α/βRα is primarily located on the cell surface, where IFN-α/βRα binds to interferons α and β, triggering a cascade of intracellular signaling that leads to the activation of genes involved in antiviral defense. The importance of this location cannot be overstated, as IFN-α/βRα allows for rapid response to viral infections, enabling cells to mount an effective defense. Additionally, IFN-α/βRα interaction with the cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase JAK1 is essential for signal transduction, further emphasizing the significance of cellular positioning in mediating immune responses. Understanding the dynamics of IFN-α/βRα and signaling pathways is critical for developing therapeutic strategies against viral infections and related diseases.

What is the recommended fixation method for IF with IFN-α/βRα (H-11): sc-7391 monoclonal antibody?
