Id4 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Id4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Id4 (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Id4, a member of the Id family of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins, plays a crucial role in cellular differentiation and proliferation by acting as a negative regulator of DNA binding for bHLH proteins. Id4 (B-5) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein that dimerizes with class A and B HLH proteins, preventing these complexes from binding to DNA and inhibiting gene expression necessary for muscle differentiation. Id4 maintains the balance between cell proliferation and differentiation, especially in muscle cells, where expression decreases during differentiation, allowing for myogenic gene activation. Growth factors influence Id4 regulation, and expression changes can significantly impact cell cycle reentry and differentiation processes.
