SEE ALSO...

HSP 90α/β Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HSP 90 alpha/beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HSP 90α/β antibody (F-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSP 90 plays a crucial role as a molecular chaperone, assisting in proper folding and stabilization of numerous client proteins, including steroid hormone receptors and kinases, which are vital for cellular signaling and stress responses. This chaperoning function helps maintain cellular homeostasis and protects cells from stress-induced damage, thereby influencing processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. HSP 90 forms complexes with various proteins, including glucocorticoid receptor, which is rendered transcriptionally inactive in the absence of ligand, highlighting HSP 90′s role in regulating gene expression. HSP 90′s ability to interact with a diverse array of proteins underscores HSP 90′s significance in cellular function and potential as a therapeutic target in diseases characterized by protein misfolding and aggregation.

I am getting two bands close tro each other at around 90kda . Are these bands alpha and beta forms? If yes which one is alpha (upper or lower)

Asked by: ak56
Thank you for your question. HSP 90α and β are both predicted to be the same molecular weight of ~ 90 kDa. Please contact our Technical Service Department if you would like help troubleshooting the antibody.

Does HSP 90α/β Antibody (F-8) AC covalent binding? Colud this ab be eluted in 0.2M glycein pH2.5?

Asked by: SHEN0301
Yes, the AC conjugated antibody is covalently bound to the sepharose (agarose) beads. Cross-linking will never be 100%. Some antibodies are not cross-linked and may come off under elution. Using a low pH buffer such as glycine pH 2.5 can help reduce detection of heavy and light chain while eluting the protein from the antibody.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of (other species, e.g., bovine, porcine, canine, equine, avian, non-mammalian) origin. Do you know if this mouse monoclonal antibody will work?

Asked by: Sweetums
Please contact our Technical Service Department and we would be happy to perform sequence analysis and review our data to answer any questions you may have about additional species reactivity.
