HSP 105 Antibody (21) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HSP 105 in mouse, rat, human, hamster, and canine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). HSP 105, a member of the heat shock protein family, plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses, particularly in germ cells where HSP 105 is specifically localized. HSP 105 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, especially under conditions of stress, as HSP 105 assists in the proper folding and stabilization of other proteins, including the tumor suppressor protein p53. By preventing the misfolding and aggregation of proteins, HSP 105 helps to avert apoptosis in germ cells, thereby ensuring the survival and functionality of these critical cells. The ability of HSP 105 to translocate into the nucleus following heat shock further underscores HSP 105′s importance in cellular stress management and protein regulation. Anti-HSP 105 antibody (21) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of heat shock proteins in various biological processes and disease states.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with HSP 105 (21): sc-135942 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10ºC methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
