SEE ALSO...

HLA-DR Antibody (2.06) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the human HLA-DR protein, a crucial member of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Class II family, also known as Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Class II DR. HLA-DR protein is expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells such as B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages, where HLA-DR plays an essential role in the immune system by presenting exogenous peptides to CD4+ helper T-cells, thereby initiating and regulating adaptive immune responses. Structurally, HLA-DR is a heterodimer composed of alpha and beta chains that interact with key proteins like HLA-DM and HLA-DO, which facilitate peptide loading and ensure the presentation of high-affinity antigens. HLA-DR interacts with the invariant chain (CD74) during assembly and transport within the cell, a process critical for proper folding and function. Anti-HLA-DR antibody (2.06) effectively detects HLA-DR of mouse, rat, and human origin through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP), providing researchers with versatile tools for studying HLA-DR expression and interactions with other immune proteins. The polymorphic nature of HLA-DR, encoded by genes located on chromosome 6p21, is associated with numerous immune-related diseases and transplant rejection, underscoring the importance of precise HLA-DR detection in both research and clinical diagnostics. HLA-DR monoclonal antibody (2.06) enables scientists to explore complex interactions of HLA-DR with other immune proteins, investigate mechanisms underlying immune responses, and develop targeted therapeutic strategies, thereby advancing immunological research and clinical applications.
