SEE ALSO...

Histone H2B Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Histone H2B in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Histone H2B antibody (A-6) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. Histone H2B plays a crucial role in the structural organization of chromatin, as Histone H2B is one of the core components of the nucleosome, which is essential for DNA packaging within the nucleus. The nucleosome structure, consisting of an octamer formed by two H2A-H2B dimers and two H3-H4 dimers, allows for the compaction of DNA into a more manageable form, facilitating processes such as transcription, replication, and repair. Histone H2B is vital for maintaining genomic stability and regulating gene expression, as alterations in histone composition or modifications can lead to significant cellular consequences, including the development of various diseases. Additionally, Histone H2B undergoes numerous post-translational modifications, such as acetylation and methylation, which influence DNA interaction and other nuclear proteins, thereby impacting chromatin dynamics and cellular function.

We have used antibody H2B  (N-20): sc-8650 for a long time, both for IF and for western. It did work, but not perfectly. I see today you sale H2B (A-6): sc-515808 instead of sc-8650. How can  I ask for a 10ug sample. Can you give me a Tel number in China

Asked by: Liyongzheng

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using Histone H2B (A-6): sc-515808?

Asked by: Germaine
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not workingI bought this antibody recently and its not working at all. I've tried at several dilution (for e.g. 1:250 to 1:1000) with 50ug of total protein (HeLa cells). Please suggest me regarding this. Thank you

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Histone H2B antibody (A-6): sc-515808Work well in western blot at 1:200, human H2B. And when we use the Penicillium.oxalicum H2B, we don’t detect the H2B.
