Histone H1X Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Histone H1X in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Histone H1X antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Histone H1X, also referred to as H1FX, is a 213 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in chromatin organization within the nucleus. As a member of the Histone H1/H5 family, Histone H1X is essential for compacting nucleosome chains into higher-order structures, which maintains chromosome integrity during cell division. Nuclear localization of Histone H1X facilitates DNA repair, replication, and gene expression regulation. During the cell cycle, Histone H1X accumulates in nucleoli during G1 phase, distributes evenly throughout the nucleus in S and G2 phases, and localizes along the chromosomal surface during mitosis. Neuroendocrine cells and tumors express elevated levels of Histone H1X, suggesting significance in cancer biology and cellular differentiation.
