HES3 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HES3 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HES3 is a member of the hairy and Enhancer of split (HES) gene family, which encodes basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcriptional repressors that play a crucial role in the regulation of neurogenesis and myogenesis. Specifically, HES3 is predominantly expressed in cerebellar Purkinje cells, highlighting its importance in the development and function of the central nervous system. The unique expression pattern of HES3 suggests that HES3 may be involved in the differentiation and maturation of neuronal cells, making HES3 a significant player in neural development. Additionally, HES3 interacts with the TLE family of proteins, which are essential for mediating the transcriptional repression functions of HES proteins.
