HELIC2 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HELIC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HELIC2 (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HELIC2 protein, also known as SNRNP200, ASCC3L1, or BRR2, is a 2,136 amino acid protein primarily localized in the nucleus, where HELIC2 plays a crucial role in RNA processing. HELIC2 contains two SEC63 domains, two helicase C-terminal domains, and two helicase ATP-binding domains, which are essential for HELIC2′s function as an RNA helicase. HELIC2 is vital for promoting specific RNA-RNA conformational changes during the second step of RNA splicing, a process critical for proper maturation of mRNA and gene expression regulation. HELIC2 gene is located on human chromosome 2, a region home to over 1,400 genes and constituting nearly 8% of the human genome. Mutations in genes located on chromosome 2, such as ABCA12, have been linked to severe conditions like Harlequin ichthyosis, highlighting the importance of understanding HELIC2′s functions and interactions in cellular processes and disease mechanisms.
