    SEE ALSO...

Glucosidase IIα Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Glucosidase IIα in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Glucosidase IIα Antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glucosidase IIα plays a crucial role in processing N-linked glycoproteins by trimming glucose residues in the endoplasmic reticulum, which is essential for proper protein folding and quality control. Glucosidase IIα operates as part of a heterodimeric complex with Glucosidase IIβ, where Glucosidase IIα serves as the catalytic core, capable of functioning independently of its β counterpart. The interaction between these subunits is vital for enzymatic stability and activity, as Glucosidase IIβ contains a retention signal that ensures the complex remains within the endoplasmic reticulum, thereby facilitating efficient glycoprotein processing. The phosphorylated form of Glucosidase IIβ, highly expressed in fibroblasts and epidermal carcinoma cells, highlights Glucosidase IIα′s significance in cellular signaling pathways and potential role in cancer biology.
