GAPT Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GAPT (growth factor receptor-bound protein 2-binding adapter protein, transmembrane) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GAPT is a 157 amino acid single-pass membrane protein belonging to the GAPT family, and GAPT plays a crucial role in the regulation of B-cell proliferation, particularly after stimulation through the B-cell receptor, which is essential for maintaining B-cell marginal zone integrity. GAPT is primarily expressed in peripheral blood lymphocytes and the spleen, with lower levels detected in the thymus, highlighting GAPT′s importance in immune system function. GAPT interacts with the GRB2 protein, which is involved in various signaling pathways, further emphasizing GAPT′s role in cellular communication and response. The GAPT gene is located on human chromosome 5q11.2, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Cockayne syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis, underscoring GAPT′s significance in both normal physiology and disease contexts. anti-GAPT antibody (B-6) has been validated in multiple B-cell lines, including THP-1 and TY, making anti-GAPT antibody (B-6) a reliable tool for researchers studying B-cell biology and related pathologies.
