fzr Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects fzr in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-fzr antibody (B-6) recognizes fzr, a member of the 7WD domain family, which plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation by negatively regulating the levels of cyclins A, B, and B3. This regulation is vital for maintaining proper cell division and preventing uncontrolled proliferation, which can lead to tumorigenesis. Notably, fzr has been shown to suppress B-cell tumor formation, as retroviral overexpression of fzr in B-lymphoma cells significantly reduces tumor growth and enhances susceptibility to natural killer cell cytotoxicity. fzr′s ability to modulate cyclin levels is essential for ensuring that cells do not progress through additional division cycles, which can disrupt normal tissue homeostasis. Furthermore, loss of fzr function can lead to aberrant cell cycle progression, as seen in epidermal cells, where fzr causes an extra division cycle, and in salivary gland cells, where fzr inhibits endoreduplication. The implications of fzr′s regulatory functions extend to its potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment, making fzr monoclonal antibody (B-6) a valuable tool for researchers studying cell cycle dynamics and tumor biology.
