Fumarate hydratase Antibody (J-13) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects fumarate hydratase of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-fumarate hydratase antibody (J-13) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental settings. Fumarate hydratase (J-13) monoclonal antibody is specific to a crucial mitochondrial enzyme that plays a significant role in the Krebs cycle by catalyzing the reversible hydration of fumaric acid to produce l-malic acid. This enzymatic activity is vital for cellular respiration and energy production, highlighting the importance of fumarate hydratase in metabolic processes. Notably, germline mutations in the fumarate hydratase gene are linked to a predisposition for renal defects, including multiple cutaneous and uterine leiomyoma syndrome, as well as an increased risk of renal and smooth muscle tumors, although they do not correlate with prostate cancer. Additionally, fumarate hydratase deficiency has been associated with neurological complications, such as seizures, stemming from prenatal brain dysgenesis. Anti-fumarate hydratase antibody (J-13) detects both precursor mitochondrial and cytoplasmic mature chains, making this reagent an essential tool for researchers studying the implications of fumarate hydratase in health and disease.

Thank you for your question. Primary antibodies are manufactured in our in-house laboratory and are provided in a solution of 1x PBS, 0.1% sodium azide, and 0.1% gelatin. These, items do not require an MSDS or COA.
