SEE ALSO...

FOXC2 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects FOXC2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXC2 is a crucial member of the forkhead/winged helix transcription factor family, playing a significant role in regulating adipocyte metabolism by enhancing the sensitivity of the beta-adrenergic-cAMP-protein kinase A (PKA) signaling pathway. This modulation helps counteract the adverse effects of obesity, particularly in high-fat diets, where increased FOXC2 levels can mitigate symptoms associated with excessive fat accumulation. Additionally, FOXC2 is essential for the early stages of chondrogenic differentiation, both in vivo and in vitro, highlighting FOXC2′s importance in developmental biology. Notably, FOXC2 haploinsufficiency is linked to Lymphedema-distichiasis (LD), an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by limb lymphedema and double rows of eyelashes, underscoring FOXC2′s clinical relevance. Furthermore, FOXC2 interacts with FOXC1 within the Notch signaling pathway, which is critical for kidney and heart development, indicating FOXC2′s multifaceted role in both normal physiology and disease states. Anti-FOXC2 antibody (D-8) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the intricate functions and interactions of this important transcription factor.

How would I know if this antibody is better for my experiment? I am working on human lung cancer cell lines.

Asked by: Sanjana
Thank you for your question. We have not yet tested this antibody in any human lung cancer cell lines. Please refer to the Western blot data on our website for the most current published data using this antibody. Please contact us for further support.

Has there been any work done to demonstrate that this antibody does not cross-react on the similar FOXC1 protein?

Asked by: FOXC2 investigator
Thank you for your question. This monoclonal antibody is raised against a peptide that is specific for FOXC2 and does not cross react with FOXC1. However, this has not been experimentally confirmed.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515472 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great specificity!I recently purchased this antibody for WB analysis of FOXC2 expression in murine tumor cell lines. A strong band was observed in wild-type tumor cells, and no band was observed in a FOXC2 knockout tumor cell line.
