FEZ1 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FEZ1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FEZ1 (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FEZ1, also known as leucine zipper putative tumor suppressor or LZTS1, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and is characterized by a DNA-binding leucine zipper motif. FEZ1 expression is vital in normal breast and prostate tissues, where FEZ1 functions as a negative regulator of cell proliferation. Loss of FEZ1 expression is frequently observed in breast and prostate cancer cell lines, as well as in primary tumors, which can be attributed to genetic mutations or hypermethylation of the CpG island surrounding the FEZ1 promoter. During cell-cycle progression, FEZ1 localizes to microtubule components and undergoes hyperphosphorylation by cAMP-dependent kinase, highlighting FEZ1′s importance in maintaining normal cellular functions and potential role in tumorigenesis. Frequent loss of heterozygosity at human chromosome 8p22-p21, where FEZ1 gene is located, has been associated with various malignancies, including prostate and breast cancer, underscoring FEZ1′s significance in cancer research and therapeutic development.
