Fc ε RIγ Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Fc ε RIγ in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fc ε RIγ plays a crucial role in the immune response by serving as a signaling subunit of the high-affinity IgE receptor, which is essential for mediating allergic reactions. Fc ε RIγ is primarily located on the surface of mast cells and basophils, where Fc ε RIγ facilitates the binding of IgE antibodies to allergens, leading to cell activation and the subsequent release of inflammatory mediators such as histamines. The presence of Fc ε RIγ on these immune cells is vital for the initiation and amplification of hypersensitivity responses, making Fc ε RIγ a key player in allergic diseases. Structurally, Fc ε RIγ is composed of a single transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic tail that contains immunoreceptor tyrosine activation motifs (ITAMs), which are critical for signal transduction. The phosphorylation of these ITAMs upon receptor activation is necessary for the downstream signaling cascades that result in the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and other mediators, underscoring the importance of Fc ε RIγ in both normal immune function and pathological allergic responses.
