FBXW17 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FBXW17 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBXW17 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FBXW17 protein, also known as F-box and WD-40 domain protein 17, consists of 466 amino acids and features a single F-box domain, which is essential for its role in the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. SCF complex is crucial for substrate recognition and recruitment during the ubiquitination process, which is vital for regulating cellular functions, including cell cycle, immune responses, signaling pathways, and developmental processes. FBXW17 specifically targets proteins such as cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, IκB-α, and β-catenin for proteasomal degradation, thereby influencing cellular homeostasis and function. FBXW17 gene is located on chromosome 13 A5 in mice and is conserved across several species, including dogs, cows, rats, and zebrafish, highlighting its fundamental role in cellular regulation.
