SEE ALSO...

FBL20 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FBL20 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBL20 (D-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FBL20, also known as F-box/LRR-repeat protein 20, is a 436 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene FBXL20 and is characterized by the presence of a 40-amino acid F-box region and twelve leucine-rich repeats. This unique structure enables FBL20 to function as a key component of the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which plays a vital role in substrate recognition and recruitment for ubiquitination. FBL20′s ability to target specific proteins for degradation, such as cyclins and β-catenin, is essential for regulating various cellular processes, including cell cycle, immune response, and developmental pathways. FBL20 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity in different cellular contexts.
