FAAP100 contributes significantly to the stability of the core complex and the monoubiquitination of FANCD2. FAAP100 is localized in the nucleus, where FAAP100 forms a complex with FANCB and FANCL, and FAAP100 repression can lead to chromosomal instability and increased sensitivity to DNA cross-linking agents.
