SEE ALSO...

Ezrin Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ezrin in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ezrin is a crucial member of the ERM (ezrin, radixin, moesin) protein family, which plays a vital role in linking the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane, thereby facilitating cellular processes such as cell shape maintenance, motility, and signaling. Ezrin is predominantly localized beneath the plasma membrane, where anti-Ezrin antibody (C-4) can detect scaffold assemblies for signaling complexes, particularly in response to growth factor stimulation. Ezrin serves as a significant substrate for various protein-tyrosine kinases, including the epidermal growth factor receptor, which underscores Ezrin′s importance in signal transduction pathways that regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. Additionally, Ezrin functions as an anchoring protein for cAMP-dependent protein kinase, known as AKAP78, which is essential for the spatial organization of signaling molecules within the cell. The distinct phosphorylation patterns exhibited by Ezrin, Moesin, and Radixin, despite their high homology, suggest specialized roles in different cellular contexts, making Ezrin (C-4) antibody an invaluable tool for studying these dynamic processes in various biological systems.

Una volta Santa Cruz vendeva un anticorpo policlonale di coniglio anti ezrina. Non lo trovo più in catalogo.

Asked by: AEva
Thank you for your question. The polyclonal Ezrin Antibody (H-276): sc-20773 has been discontinued in 2016. However there is a variety of monoclonal antibodies specific against Ezrin in our portfolio. An overview of these products can be found by following this link: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/ezrin-Antibodies/_/N-18n2irp Ezrin Antibody (3C12): sc-58758 is particularly popular and may be a suitable alternative. It is recommended for detection of Ezrin of mouse, rat, human and bovine origin by WB, IP, IF and IHC(P)

What is the difference between Ezrin C-4 (product#sc-271541) and A-4 (product#sc-271456)

Asked by: experiem
Thank you for your question. These two antibodies are very similar. Both are mouse monoclonal antibodies raised against the same recombinant protein immunogen. The only difference is that each clone, (C-4) and (A-4), has a unique epitope. Both antibodies have excellent data in WB, IF and IHC(P).

Can Ezrin (C-4): sc-271541 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, Ezrin (C-4): sc-271541 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
