SEE ALSO...

Ezrin Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ezrin in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Ezrin antibody (H-4) is available in non-conjugated and conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ezrin is a key member of the ERM (Ezrin, Radixin, Moesin) protein family, linking the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane for cell shape maintenance, motility, and signaling. Ezrin primarily localizes beneath the plasma membrane, acting as a scaffold for various signaling molecules, including protein-tyrosine kinases like the epidermal growth factor receptor. This localization regulates cell surface receptors and organizes membrane microdomains essential for signal transduction. Ezrin also functions as an anchoring protein for cAMP-dependent protein kinase (AKAP78), highlighting its role in cellular signaling pathways. Despite high homology with Moesin and Radixin, Ezrin shows distinct phosphorylation patterns, emphasizing its specific functions in different cellular contexts and its significance in various physiological and pathological processes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly potent and very specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of the ~87 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested.
