SEE ALSO...

Ezrin Antibody (3C12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ezrin protein of mouse, rat, human, and bovine origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Ezrin antibody (3C12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ezrin plays a crucial role in linking the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane, which is essential for maintaining cell shape and facilitating cellular signaling. Ezrin is primarily located just beneath the plasma membrane, where Ezrin interacts with other cytoskeletal and membrane proteins, thereby influencing processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and morphology. Notably, Ezrin acts as a major cytoplasmic substrate for various protein-tyrosine kinases, including the epidermal growth factor receptor, and functions as an A-kinase anchoring protein, designated AKAP78. Ezrin′s interaction with Moesin and Radixin, which share over 70% homology, highlights the importance of this protein family in cellular dynamics, as these proteins exhibit distinct receptor-specific patterns of phosphorylation despite their similarities. This specificity is vital for the regulation of various signaling pathways, making Ezrin a key player in cellular responses to external stimuli.

For SC58758 AC, I’d like to ask if it conjugate Ezrin antibody through protein A/G, or directly conjugate the antibody? Thanks!

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. Our antibodies are covalently bound to the agarose beads via primary amines. The protein G/A/L is covalently linked to the agarose bead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good antibodyThis antibody works very well for western blot analysis of mouse cerebellar extracts. When probing mixed primary cerebellar cultures, there is varied staining. This appears to have a filament like staining in primary culture, which is likely non-specific background.
