    SEE ALSO...

EMSY Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EMSY protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EMSY antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EMSY plays a critical role in chromatin remodeling and interacts with BRCA2, a key player in DNA repair processes. This interaction has been confirmed in HeLa cells, highlighting EMSY′s importance in maintaining genomic stability. EMSY overexpression is strongly associated with amplification in sporadic breast cancer and higher-grade ovarian cancer, with EMSY gene being amplified in 18% of breast cancer cell lines. Such amplification indicates poor prognosis and links to shortened disease-free survival times. EMSY features a conserved 80 amino acid sequence at its N-terminus across various species, underscoring evolutionary significance. In studies involving irradiated mouse embryonic fibroblasts, EMSY (E-9) monoclonal antibody detected protein migration to sites of damaged DNA, emphasizing EMSY′s role in cellular responses to DNA damage.
