SEE ALSO...

EML1 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EML1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EML1 (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EML1, also known as echinoderm microtubule-associated protein-like 1, plays a crucial role in regulating microtubule dynamics, which is essential for various cellular processes such as cell division, intracellular transport, and maintaining cell shape. EML1 presence in most tissues underscores importance in cellular function, although notably absent in thymus and peripheral blood lymphocytes. Human EML1 contains a WD40 domain, a structural motif that facilitates interactions with other proteins, thereby participating in critical processes like signal transduction and cytoskeleton assembly. EML1 has been implicated as a candidate gene for Usher syndrome type 1A, a genetic disorder characterized by hearing loss and vision impairment, highlighting significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
