  • raised against amino acids 1-222 representing full length EMBP of human origin
  • EMBP Antibody (F-6) is recommended for detection of EMBP of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • Anti-EMBP Antibody (F-6) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG2b BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for EMBP Antibody (F-6) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with EMBP Antibody (F-6) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

EMBP Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects EMBP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EMBP Antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The eosinophil major basic protein (EMBP), also known as MBP, PRG2, proteoglycan 2, BMPG, or bone marrow natural killer cell activator, is a critical component of the crystalline core of eosinophil granules, which are essential for the immune response, particularly in combating parasitic infections. EMBP is predominantly located in eosinophils, where EMBP plays a vital role in mediating cytotoxic effects against helminths and modulating immune hypersensitivity reactions. EMBP forms complexes with proteins such as pregnancy-associated plasma protein A, angiotensinogen, and C3dg in high concentrations in the placenta and pregnancy serum, underscoring EMBP′s importance in reproductive immunology. EMBP activates phosphoinositide 3-kinase and protein kinase C ζ signaling pathways in neutrophils, highlighting EMBP′s role in immune cell signaling and function. EMBP transcription is regulated by transcription factors including GATA-1, PU.1, and C/EBPε isoforms, adding complexity to EMBP′s regulation and function in immune responses.
