    SEE ALSO...

EED Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects EED of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EED Antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EED, or embryonic ectoderm development protein, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation through involvement in Polycomb-group (PcG) complexes, which maintain transcriptional repression of target genes across cell divisions. This function is vital for cellular memory and stable inheritance of gene activity during development. EED is highly conserved, with human EED showing 99.5% identity to mouse EED, and features seven WD repeats that facilitate protein-protein interactions. EED interacts specifically with histone deacetylase (HDAC) proteins, key players in chromatin remodeling and gene silencing. Two human EED transcripts produce isoforms of 535 and 494 amino acids, highlighting EED′s complexity and regulatory potential in cellular processes.
