    SEE ALSO...

EDAR Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ectodermal dysplasia receptor (EDAR) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EDAR plays a crucial role in ectodermal differentiation and is integral to signaling pathways that regulate cellular functions such as proliferation and apoptosis. EDAR (H-7) antibody helps study the activation of the NFκB pathway, which promotes cell survival, as well as the caspase and Jun kinase pathways that lead to programmed cell death. EDAR′s importance is underscored by its association with ectodermal dysplasia syndromes, which result from mutations in the downless gene that encodes this receptor, leading to developmental issues in hair, teeth, and sweat glands. The interaction between EDAR and its ligand, Ectodysplasin A (EDA), is vital for proper pathway functioning, as EDA-A1, the longest splice variant of EDA, binds to EDAR to initiate signaling cascades essential for ectodermal development. Post-translational modifications on EDAR can influence stability and activity, further emphasizing EDAR′s importance in cellular signaling and development. Anti-EDAR antibody (H-7) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of ectodermal differentiation and EDAR′s implications in various developmental disorders.
