EAPP Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EAPP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EAPP (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EAPP, or E2F-associated phosphoprotein, is a highly phosphorylated nuclear protein consisting of 285 amino acids that plays a crucial role in regulating E2F transcription factors, which are integral to apoptosis and cell proliferation. By interacting specifically with E2F-1, E2F-2, and E2F-3, EAPP modulates their activity by binding to their N-terminal domains, thereby preventing the interaction of these transcription factors with essential cell cycle regulators such as cyclin A and Sp1. This regulatory mechanism is vital for maintaining proper cell cycle progression, as EAPP is expressed throughout the cell cycle but is notably absent during mitosis, indicating its importance in cell cycle completion. EAPP is widely expressed across various tissues, with the highest levels found in the placenta, pancreas, skeletal muscle, and heart, underscoring its significance in cellular functions and potential implications in cancer biology.
