DOCK 7 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DOCK 7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DOCK 7 (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DOCK 7 protein, also known as dedicator of cytokinesis 7 or ZIR2, is a crucial guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that plays a significant role in the activation of Rac1 and Rac3, which are essential for cytoskeletal dynamics and cellular signaling. DOCK 7 consists of 2,140 amino acids and is primarily localized to developing axons, where DOCK 7 facilitates the regulation of neuronal morphology and migration. The presence of one DHR-1 domain and one DHR-2 domain in DOCK 7′s structure is vital for GEF activity, allowing for the exchange of GDP for GTP, which is a critical step in the activation of downstream signaling pathways. DOCK 7 is expressed in various tissues, and DOCK 7′s gene is located on human chromosome 1, a region associated with numerous disease-related genes, including those implicated in familial adenomatous polyposis and Parkinson′s disease. Notably, aberrations in chromosome 1 have been linked to several cancers, highlighting DOCK 7′s importance in both normal cellular function and disease states.
