    SEE ALSO...

DHCR24 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DHCR24 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DHCR24 antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DHCR24 protein, also known as 3-β-hydroxysterol Delta-24 reductase or seladin-1, plays a crucial role in cholesterol biosynthesis by catalyzing the reduction of the Delta-24 double bond in sterol intermediates. This enzymatic activity is vital for maintaining cellular cholesterol levels, which are essential for membrane integrity, hormone synthesis, and overall cellular function. DHCR24 is predominantly expressed in the adrenal gland and brain, where DHCR24 is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum or Golgi apparatus. Notably, defects in the DHCR24 gene can lead to desmosterolosis, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by abnormal sterol metabolism. DHCR24 (A-4) antibody′s ability to effectively detect this important protein makes DHCR24 (A-4) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying cholesterol metabolism and related disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398938 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
